Paul and Sue Brownrigg are well-known on the Island for their quality and affordable meat produced on their own farm. They began their venture 20 years ago with a flock of free range turkeys and geese. The Brownriggs now also rear traditional ruby red cattle, have a flock of over 1000 sheep and free range hens that produce over 3000 eggs a day. These are all available to buy Islandwide.

Last year the Brownrigg family took over The Isle of Wight Bacon Company. They now produce their own free range pork including a sumptuous range of sausages, traditional pork joints, hams and their own dry cured bacon. Richard and Beth Brownrigg run the busy Hog Roast business using Brownrigg free range pork.

The family’s new shop, ‘Brownrigg’s Farm Shop and Butchery’ is opening on November the 8th 2013 and will be located on the former Godshill Organics site. It is in an ideal position on the main road between Shanklin and Newport, with easy access and ample parking. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings their butcher will be available to make recommendations and cut joints. There will also be a large range of local fresh fruit, vegetables, organic and gluten free products. The shop will be open seven days a week.

With the new shop opening on Friday 8th of November it is the perfect opportunity to visit the new shop and pick up a Christmas order form. The Brownriggs are pleased to announce that all of their Christmas turkey prices will remain the same as last year.
